welcome to our school. Opened its door in 2009, this young school has been dedicated to finding legal solutions to the greatest challenges of the day, and to developing youth leaders with global vision who are capable of resolving the acute problems facing the world.

The faculty of our school includes more than 30 resident professors and approximately 20 adjunct professors. Owing to the combined efforts of such brilliant and engaged fellows, our school is lauded in each and every field of international law. Our school offers bachelor, master and doctor of jurisprudence degree, and the number of students in total is approximately 1, 000.

Our goals are to create a community of students and faculty members from a variety of backgrounds which reflects the diversity of our world; to foster excellence in teaching and research; to cultive our students' awareness of cooperation and competition for the increasingly united world; and to evolve rapidly into an institution nationally, if not globally, renowned for international legal education.

To pursue the aforesaid objectives, we intend to hold ourselves to the most exacting standards; to offer students abundant opportunities for internships and study abroad, all of which are avenues of learning precious experiences from outstanding legal professionals; to encourage students to cross academic as well as geographic boundaries in their pursuit of knowledge; to create a cozy, diverse and dynamic school environment for learning, teaching and working for students and faculty members; and to perfect the scholarship and financial aid system to ensure that talented students from different financial situation enjoy the equal right to education.

In 2012, our university, SWUPL, was honored to be selected as the Foreign Legal Talents Education Traning Base of the Ministry of Education, the China-ASEAN High-end Legal Talents Education Base of China Law Society and one of the Chongqing municipal & National Department established universities. Despite the associated challenges, we are thrilled for those unprecedented opportunities to expand our presence in the legal academy.
